***Notice: New Project Check-in Dates, 1527 Geyser St., Upland, CA 91784 ****  10am – 7 pm Friday May 9th  & 9 am – Noon, Saturday May 10th 2008 for most projects.

 

Please register on-line and complete the forms on-line.  Then select file/print and print your personal database.  Then attach the printout with the form below summarizing the costs and providing the address where to mail the information and check.  This will speed up the registration process and ensure that your child/children may submit their projects and participate in the Olympics. 

 In addition, please print the forms you need, copy the information that you completed on-line and mail them in with your check.  Don't forget the Olympic registration/parent medical release form.

History Division (211)·         Judging based on: Report and display. Historical content. Judging will also be based on age appropriateness and neatness.  More than one historical reference is encouraged. Division 211 . . . . . History. Maps, models etc   Project check in, for History & Science -  9 am – Noon, Saturday May 24th 2008.  At the Fair.
Science Divisions (241 - 259)·         *Judging based on: Scientific method. One page report is encouraged. Collections, machines etc will be accepted as science. ·         Projects will also be judged for age appropriateness, neatness, effort displayed, and concepts learned/explained.
Project check in, for History & Science -  9 am – Noon, Saturday May 24th 2008.  At the Fair.
Division 241 . . . . . Life Science. Plants, seeds, animals, animal adaptation, body structure, 5 senses, and health/nutrition.
Division 244 . . . . . Physical Science. Matter, energy, light, sound, simple machines, magnetism, electricity, and chemistry.
Division 247 . . . . . Earth Science. Air, water, weather, earth, ecology, and astronomy.
Division 250 . . . . . Science Display & Kits. (Where Scientific Method of judging is not possible)

Baked Goods Divisions (272 - 319)·         Judging based on: Taste. Originality, Creativity, and Presentation. ·         Divisions 272-299 MUST be checked-in between 7:30 - 8:30am on day of fair. Please bring all Baked Goods entries on disposable plates!·         Baked Goods can be auctioned at the end of the day. Proceeds will be used to help fund the 2008 Home School Fair. Make a note on your Project Registration Form if you wish to donate an item to the auction.

Bible Sword Division (415)·                                 Judging based on: Traditional method. Bible Sword will be separated into separate age divisions. No Bibles with tabs will be allowed. After the verse is called out, the first student to find verse stands and reads it aloud. ·                                 Check-in 2:15pm . . . Bible Sword Drill begins 2:30pm.

Home School Olympics Division (426) ·         Judging based on: Traditional method. Olympics include Running Broad Jump, Standing Broad Jump, 50yd. Dash, 100yd. Talent Showcase·                                 Talent Showcase is not a division. There are no fees and no awards given. It is an opportunity for home schooled children & teens to exhibit their talents. You may sign up by calling (951) 681-4858. Deadline is May 10! ·                                 Sorry, we have no piano available, although you may bring your own keyboard. ·                                 ***ANNOUNCERS WANTED!*** ·                                 If you enjoy public speaking. . .sign up to be an announcer at the Talent Showcase.
